Your manuscript remains yours
You retain ownership of manuscripts, excerpts, author materials and authorised references you submit. Wayword does not acquire publishing rights, distribution rights, adaptation rights, royalty interests or literary representation rights.
Limited licence to process
You grant us and our contracted processors a worldwide, non-exclusive, limited licence to host, copy, transform and transmit your input only as necessary to provide the requested generation, storage, export, security and support functions. The licence ends when processing and applicable retention periods end.
Generated work
As between you and Wayword, you may use generated copy, cover concepts, layout concepts, ornaments, mockups and trailers for lawful personal or commercial publishing activity. This permission is subject to applicable law, provider terms and third-party rights. Outputs may not qualify for copyright protection in every jurisdiction and may not be unique.
No third-party rights granted
Our licence cannot give you rights in material owned by someone else. You must conduct appropriate similarity, trade mark, publicity, privacy and copyright review before release. Prompting for a protected work does not create permission to use it.
Service materials
Wayword retains rights in its software, interface, workflow, documentation, branding and original templates, excluding your content and your lawful rights in outputs. A subscription does not transfer the service code or permit resale of the software.
Deletion and portability
You may export project records and request deletion under the Privacy Policy. Download provider-hosted media promptly because links may expire. Deletion from active systems does not require removal from lawful financial records, security records or time-limited backups.
